In light of the current world conditions, it is with concern and consideration for the health and wellbeing of all our community members that we have decided to postpone PEACE STEAMM day camp to 2021. In the interim, we are developing an enlightening online interactive e-learning platform, so your children may engage in inspiring creative activities ... on and off the computer ... to explore their world ... and the universe. Children Learn Via Response & Interactive Play

What's unique about PEACE STEAMM Camp is the infusion of Arts and enlightened academia, to provide a memorable, exploratory, creative and interactive experience for all participants! Key elements of PEACE programs address our interdependent relationship with nature and all life forms, environmental awareness and the responsibility we have for the living Earth that sustains us.

PEACE Camp is a precursor to PEACE School, to provide participants an inkling of what to expect in the "Green" community education centers to be built in Northern Ontario and around the globe, over the coming years.

Today's children are unique. Their destiny is to revive our Earth's systems, while building stronger communities locally and globally using their innate creative gifts. PEACE Camp coordinators and facilitators recognize the creativity and genius in every child and nurture their spirits, as well as their minds. Children flourish and learn at a rapid pace, when given the opportunity to explore their imagination, interests and develop their gifts. At PEACE STEAMM Camp participants will realize their role in the evolving global community and discover how they can play their part right NOW to affect positive environmental and social change.

Who Can Join & What To Expect!

At PEACE STEAMM Camp, participants aged 7 to 13 become Explorers and Pioneers, from Ancestors to Astronauts, with a mission that begins with wonder, to discover the magic of the world around us, through a variety of daily activities, adventures and environmental Friday fieldtrips.

Participants will creatively communicate their experiences via theatre, music, dance, media and fine arts, to display their new understanding of nature, nutrition, wilderness survival, sustainability and our responsibility to maintain the Earth that sustains us.

3 Weeks Thematic Arts & Exploration Programs

PEACE STEAMM (Science, Technology, Environment, Arts, Math & Music) summer 2020 program unites intercultural learning, Arts and enlightened academia, over 3 thematic weeks, for a magical, engaging and enlightening experience. Workshops and daily activities, to develop Self Confidence and Leadership Skills, will integrate Theatre Arts, Music, Dance, Language and Visual Arts with Science, to enrich the experience for all, and empower participants to be the best they can be. Participants will also be introduced to Media Arts to create collaborative productions and presentations. Unique components of PEACE Camp offer and focus on relationship building through learning and practising soft skills… the Art of Communication, and Consciousness raising using meditation and self-awareness activities, to learn, grow and inspire.
 
A key facet of PEACE Camps is to build and reinforce a strong appreciation of community. Children establish lifelong relations and friendships that continue to grow ... beyond the camp experience. PEACE Camps provide unique and innovative approaches to reach and empower participants to become the best they can be. 

​And How Was Your Day  . . . ​​

Each day begins and ends with a council circle, where participants sign up for daily activities and stretch muscles, heart and mind, through meditation, physical exercises, and/or song. They select from a wide variety of programs including Music, theatre, swimming*, boating*, hiking, rock climbing*, gardening, arts and crafts. At days end, in the closing circle, they pass the talking stick and share their favourite experiences.

Children learn at their own comfort level and progress to more challenging levels, to acquire confidence and newfound abilities along the way. The 3-week program culminates in a community theatre performance to highlight each participant's accomplishments
